What To Expect When You Visit

When you arrive you'll be greeted by the visitor hosts and other members of the chapter. If this is your first time networking we will make sure that you are comfortable and know exactly what to expect.

Here is an overview of what you can expect from your visit to BNI Brunel, so that you know what to prepare and get the most out of it.

Preparation:

• Bring plenty of business cards (at least 30)
• Bring £10 in cash for your lunch
• Prepare a 60-second introduction of your business and the kind of referrals you are looking for

The Meeting

Every BNI meeting follows the same structered agenda that has proven to maximise business for its members:

7. Visitors’ 60 second presentations
8. Membership co-ordinator’s report

13. Secretary/Treasurer’s report
14. Announcements

At the end of the meeting you will be asked to join the visitor host outside the room, so that they can answer any questions you may have at that time. You may be given an application form at that point if you wish to submit an application for membership.

Membership

At BNI we only allow one person per business category to join the chapter, so that you can maximise the amount of business you get from the chapter. If you are eligible to join and you wish to do so, you will need to fill in an application form, together with 2 business references and payment. This will be explained in detail after the meeting.

Please note that membership is not automatic: we do take up references and if more than one person from the same category applies, we will interview all of the candidates before our Membership Committee makes a decision. This is to ensure that we have quality businesses in the room whom everyone can refer with confidence.
